Default Convatec Access Program Free Supplies

Posted by: reresunshine Posted on: Jun 4th, 2007, 3:15pm Hi all,
I just wanted to post this to those of us who have NO insurance or have to pay out of pocket for our supplies. Convatec offers a program called the Access Program that offers free supplies for up to 3 months. You have to call them and ask for the Access program. They in turn will send you a form that needs to be filled out by your doctor stating that you do indeed have an ostomy. Along with that you have to fill out exactly what supplies you use. The service is for those with low income or no income at all, I don't really know what the exact guidelines are, but I just got approved for a 3 month supply of what I use! After 3 months you have to re apply with your original signed document from your doctor and also if there is any change in income. They will send you another 3 month supply and this will continue up to a year! Well worth it for those of us who are in need.

Hope this helps.....

Posted by: Patty_G Posted on: Jun 4th, 2007, 3:37pm I am so glad you were approved and it is a wonderful program too! They helped me back a couple of years ago.

Posted by: reresunshine Posted on: Jun 4th, 2007, 3:43pm Yes, thank you Patty...I am so glad also. I thought I would post this for others who like me, have no insurance or pay out of pocket....

Posted by: lacemaker Posted on: Jun 6th, 2007, 3:34am Personally I find it wrong that people have to pay for essential supplies like this.Very well done to convatec!
Posted by: Kim_in_Calif Posted on: Jun 4th, 2007, 8:51pm Thank you for posting this, Annemarie. There is also for people in the USA who have no insurance, that will send you whatever you wear for 10% of the list price and postage. Everything they have has been donated.
Love, Kim
Posted by: Micki Posted on: Jun 4th, 2007, 4:42pm Glad you had the help, AnnMarie, I no longer have my insurance, but I can not wear convatec products, I break out.

I remember when Patty told about this program last year, I believe. Good publicity for convatec, for sure and a chance to help those who honestly need it.
